Privacy Policy

Hello, and thanks for choosing JotGenie AI Note Taker. Capturing a thought should feel easy, and so should understanding what happens to it afterwards. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It is provided by JotGenie AI Note Taker, the developer of the app, and takes effect on 22.10.2026.

The short version

JotGenie has no user accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or password. When you ask the app to help with a note, the text you submit is sent to our own backend so the AI can generate a result for you. Payments are handled by Apple, and we use Adapty to understand whether your subscription is active. That is the heart of it. The sections below fill in the details.

What we handle, and what we leave alone

Information we process: the content you choose to submit for an AI generation, such as an idea, a study note or a personal reminder, along with the generated result returned to you; and subscription and purchase status information, together with technical identifiers needed to link that status to your copy of the app. Information we do not collect: we do not create accounts or profiles, we do not ask for your name or contact details to use the app, and we never receive your card or bank details, because Apple processes all payments. Please avoid putting highly sensitive personal information into notes you send for generation unless you are comfortable with it being processed as described here.

Where your generations happen

AI generations run on our own backend, operated by JotGenie AI Note Taker. When you request help with a note, your input travels to that backend, is processed to create your result, and the result is sent back to your device. We use this content only to provide the feature you asked for and to keep the service working properly. We do not sell your content.

The partners we rely on

We work with two third-party services, each for a specific purpose. Apple App Store: Apple distributes the app and processes all in-app purchases and subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple handles your payment information under its own privacy policy, and we do not see your payment details. Adapty: when used, Adapty helps us track subscription status and provides subscription analytics, so the app knows which features to unlock and we can understand how subscriptions are performing overall. Adapty processes purchase-related information and app identifiers for this purpose under its own privacy terms. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of Apple and Adapty to learn how they handle information.

Subscriptions and purchases

If you subscribe or make a purchase, the transaction is completed entirely through Apple. Apple tells the app whether a purchase succeeded, and Adapty, when used, keeps track of your subscription status and related analytics. Managing, changing or cancelling a subscription is done in your Apple ID settings, not inside JotGenie.

How long information is kept

We keep content sent for generation only for as long as needed to produce your result and to operate, secure and maintain the service. Subscription records held by Apple and Adapty are retained according to their own policies. Anything the app stores locally on your device stays there and is removed when you delete the app.

Your rights and choices

You have the right to ask what information we hold about you and to ask us to delete it. Because JotGenie has no accounts, we may need a little help from you to locate the relevant information, such as details about when you used a feature. We will do our best to respond to every request promptly. You can also stop all future processing at any time by not submitting content for generation or by deleting the app. For purchase data held by Apple, you can use Apple's own privacy tools.

Updates to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date below. If a change is significant, we will make reasonable efforts to let you know within the app or on the App Store listing.
