Welcome to JotGenie AI Note Taker, your helper for jotting down ideas, learning notes and everyday reminders. These Terms of Use are the simple agreement between you and JotGenie AI Note Taker, the developer of the app. They are effective from 22.10.2026. Please take a few calm minutes to read them.

Saying yes to these terms

By downloading, opening or using JotGenie, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, that is completely fine, but please do not use the app.

Your permission to use JotGenie

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use JotGenie on Apple devices you own or control, for your own work, study and everyday note-taking, in line with these terms and Apple's App Store rules. This licence lets you use the app; it does not transfer ownership of the app to you.

Using the app kindly and fairly

Please use JotGenie in a way that respects others and the law. You agree not to: use the app for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing or deceptive; submit content you have no right to use; try to copy, reverse engineer, disrupt or overload the app or our backend; get around subscription features or security measures; or use the app to create content that infringes someone else's rights. We may suspend or limit access if the app is being misused.

Your notes belong to you

The content you write and submit remains yours, and so do the results generated for you, to the extent the law allows. You give us permission to process your content only as needed to run the AI features and provide the service. You are responsible for what you submit and for how you use the results, so please review generated notes before relying on them.

What belongs to us

The JotGenie app, its name, design, code, features and other materials are owned by JotGenie AI Note Taker and protected by intellectual property laws. Apart from the licence described above, no rights are granted to you.

Subscriptions, billing and cancelling

Some features may require a paid subscription or purchase. All purchases, billing, renewals and cancellations are handled by the Apple App Store through Apple In-App Purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID settings before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in those settings. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its own policies.

About AI-generated results

AI can be wonderfully helpful, but it is not perfect. Generated notes may sometimes be incomplete, inaccurate or not quite what you meant. Treat them as a starting point and use your own judgement, especially for anything important.

No guarantees

JotGenie is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.

Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, JotGenie AI Note Taker will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

When these terms change

We may update these terms from time to time as JotGenie grows. When we do, we will revise the effective date and, for meaningful changes, make reasonable efforts to let you know. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
